Concert de reconnaissance

The great Cuban pianist Aldo Lopez Gavilan, known for his dazzling technique and his incredible talent as a composer, both in classical and in jazz, will be accompanied by seven other exceptional musicians: André Moisan, Paul Merkelo, Hélène Lemay, Frederic Alarie, Jimmy Lahaie, and Paul Picard at the historic Maison symphonique tonight.

Expect a night of samba, salsa, bossa nova, and jazz.

The Horrifically Real Virtuality at Centre Phi

A collective immersive experience combining virtual reality, cinema, and interactivity by filmmaker Ed Wood is taking place the Phi Centre tonight.

The event allows viewers to watch the film in a virtual environment while interacting physically and in real time with characters and material objects.

The Human Jukebox

The Human Jukebox is a live music show in which a singer-guitarist perform covers, chosen by the audience in real time. Songs come from a list of over 350 songs, with various styles: pop, rock, folk, blues, reggae, metal, funk, and hip-hop.

It’s essential improv but through music, can’t go wrong on a Thursday night.

The Basement: Comedy on Campus

Another edition of stand-up comedy on McGill Campus is coming your way tonight. Last month’s show had a packed house and a stellar line-up and tonight’s edition is eyeing the same results.

The free show features a slew of local comedians perfecting their material in a cozy, comfy, spot that gives out free snacks.

Plus, it’s BYOB so things might get a bit wild.
