What: The Red Bull Music Academy will present a rare night of electronic mutations and instrumental experimentation tonight. Spread out over three rooms, the musical programming for the night will be eclectic and inventive. Keep a look out for the footwork room and the live room filled with he industry’s finest as well as a wide range of Academy participants joining in on the fun.

La Braderie de Mode Quebecoise

What: Happening at Marche Bonsecours for 4 days in a row, La Braderie de mode quebecoise will brings hundreds of different designer brands to the city. This year’s designers include Mackage, Rudsak, BANG Couture, Cherry Bobin, Evie Lavoie, Luc Fontaine, and Jennifer Glasgow.
When: October 20-23, Thursday and Friday 10 am-9 pm, Saturday 10 am-6 pm, Sunday 10 am-7 pm

Méchant Bœuf Turns 9!

What: Méchant Boeuf celebrates nine years on rue Saint-Paul and wants you to be there! The birthday bash features some colorful live performers, potent b-day cocktails (courtesy of Jack Daniel’s!), a DJ and a table d’hôte menu featuring the restaurant’s glorious dry-aged tomahawk.

Take a ghost tour of Old Port

What: It appears Old Port is haunted! Do you believe in ghosts? The people over at Guidatour certainly do, as evidenced by the Fantomes Montreal Ghosts tours they run throughout the summer and fall months. Taking place in Old Port, Fantomes Montreal Ghosts offers two 90-minute ghost tours: The Traditional Ghost Walk and the Ghost Walk & Dark Encounters. They are also offering a Halloween Special that will feature costumes, disguises, and ghost hunts. Tours range in price from $15 to $25.

What: The Montreal Botanical Garden is back at it with more Halloween-themed fun. Once you’ve finished gazing at the Gardens of Light, be sure to head on over The Great Pumpkin Ball. Filled with Halloween games and shows for the whole family, this year’s event includes a squash kiosk, pumpkin-decorating competition, Little Monster’s courtyard, and a show starring Pepo citrouille. It’s sure to be an event to remember!
