Here’s hoping today starts the week off with normal November temperatures and we can put last week’s Novembrrrrrrrr behind us.

In any case, here are a few things to check out in the city today, November 26, as we all ease into the workweek.

Dream Land

Once the ‘Christmas Display House’ gets going, it’s officially the holidays. Sami Hajjar of the West Island will be continuing his ‘Christmas Display‘ house again this holiday season, but he’s upping his game.

Compared to last year’s ‘Frozen Land,’ the upcoming ‘Dream Land’ will feature 250,000 lights, inflatables and synchronized music to five Disney songs, four times a day.

Friends Trivia Night

Channel your inner Monica Gellar and get serious when you take on your pals in some trivia based on the popular TV show, Friends.

From which soap opera Joey starred to Phoebe legally changing her name, this trivia is for the Friends fanatic.

Le Marché de Noël chez Maison Pepin

Maison Pepin has channelled their inner-Harry Potter and has transformed their charming alleyway into a breathtaking rustic Christmas market.

The market itself will feature a variety of locally-made products for sale and DIY workshops from gift packaging to wreath making.

Think about all the Instagramable moments this alleyway presents.

The World’s Smallest Open Mic

Local comedians Walter J Lyng and Vance Michel host what they call “the smallest open mic show in the world.” The acts aren’t small, the venue is.

Veteran comedians will either be testing out new bits or stand-up hopefuls will be getting on stage for the first time.

The event organizers warn that only 20 seats are available. Cozy, intimate stand-up comedy is the best kind.

McKibbin’s Pub Stumpers

Test your trivia knowledge at McKibbin’s Irish Pub tonight. The pub’s trivia has five rounds, general knowledge multiple choice, short answer, a picture round, and a music round. The winner of each round receives free drinks or a round of shots. A round for a round – good trade.
