Mar 23 2019, 1:53 am

As the last week of March kicks off, here are five things to jump-start your workweek today, March 25.

Don’t let the fact that’s Monday slow you down. Get out there an enjoy the spring, Montreal.

Toronto Blue Jays vs Milwaukee Brewers – Olympic Stadium

Baseball returns to Montreal’s Olympic Stadium (we can get used to saying that) in the form of the Toronto Blue Jays as they welcome the Milwaukee Brewers for a final two-game tune-up before the start of the 2019 MLB season.

It’s a great nostalgic feel to clamp down those plastic seats at the Big O but it’s also an important showing that the city could thrive again with the return of Major League Baseball to La Belle Province.

When: March 25 and 26
Time: 7:05 pm
Where: Olympic Stadium – 4545 avenue Pierre-Courbetin
Price: $19.25 – $86.75, available online

The World’s Smallest Open Mic

Local comedians Walter J Lyng and Vance Michel host what they call “the smallest open mic show in the world.” The acts aren’t small, the venue is.

Veteran comedians will either be testing out new bits or stand-up hopefuls will be getting on stage for the first time. Among the 10 featured acts are Jacob Meza, Erica Taddeo, Mason Rost, Frankie “Love Knuckles” Pagnelli, Yumi Blake, Jeren Drew, Amer Rez and David Lonstein along with headliner Lawrence Corber.

The event organizers warn that only 20 seats are available. Cozy, intimate stand-up comedy is the best kind.
