Kids for Kids the Silver Edition

Moonlight at the Phi Centre

What: Here’s your chance to watch the critically acclaimed Moonlight at a truly unique space. Presented in collaboration with Entract Films, this drama directed by Barry Jenkins deals with a young man and his dysfunctional home life and coming of age in Miami during the “War on Drugs” era.

Holiday Pop-Up Book Fair

What: The second edition of the Holiday Pop-Up Book Fair is taking place today!
Presented by the Association of English-language Publishers of Quebec, the Atwater Library and Computer Centre, and the Quebec Writers’ Federation, this book fair brings together dozens of English-Quebec publishers and writers for a holiday bookstravaganza. Meet local authors, hear them read from their work, browse hundreds of books, buy a few and get them signed just in time for holiday gift-giving.

Book Dinner at Le Bird Bar

What: The latest addition to Griffintown’s restaurant scene is all about the chicken and atmosphere.  The concept is all about pairing its made-to-order fried chicken with champagne and a plethora of other delectable dishes. The vibe is truly happening so if a fun and yummy Friday night is on your mind, get here early.

What: Fresh off the sold-out Bob Dylan 75th Birthday Tribute Show at Club Soda, Mitch Melnick’s Billy Bob Productions is back with an event honouring one of the most important nights in Rock ’n’ Roll history – The Last Waltz concert. Billy Bob Productions will recreate the spirit of that night with help from some of the finest musicians in Montreal including Arcade Fire’s Tim Kingsbury, Juno Award winning rocker Matt Mays, and many more.
