 Sweet Mariah: A Carey Christmas

What: Comedians Tranna Wintour and Thomas Leblanc are opening the music box, releasing the rainbow, waking up from the daydream, and letting their inner butterflies fly free, as they dive deep into all things Mariah Carey. Featuring performances by Montreal’s greatest and brightest stars from the worlds of theatre, comedy, music, and dance.

A Tribute to Lenard Cohen 

What: Montreal musicians and writers pay tribute to Leonard Cohen at The Rialto Theatre tonight. The POP Montreal Festival will host a gathering concert entitled God is Alive, Magic is Afoot: A Tribute to Leonard Cohen. The show will feature local musicians and writers performing Cohen’s songs and writings. Come and celebrate this icon artists life amounts some of the greatest local talent.

La Biennale de Montreal: The Grand Balcony

What: An international event, The Grand Balcony, inspired by Jean Genet’s The Balcon, is a major exhibition comprised of 150 works of art created by 50 artists across the globe. For a sneak peek of what to expect, one of the exhibit’s featured artists is Kerry James Marshall, an American artist whose work explores the representations of African Americans in society, culture, and art history. He created portraits, interiors, nudes, and landscapes for The Grand Balcony.
