The City of Montreal has cancelled all cultural and sporting events until July

Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante has announced that all cultural and sporting events throughout the island have been cancelled until July 2, in order to limit public gatherings.

“It is a difficult decision because Montreal is a known destination for world class events and festivals,” said Plante.

A bevy of Montreal’s landmark events have already been postponed or cancelled, including the Grand Prix, Just For Laughs, The St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and Jazz Fest.

Montréal has cancelled all cultural and sporting events on its territory until July 2, in order to limit public gatherings. It is a difficult decision because Montreal is a known destination for world class events and festivals. And we will be there to support our partners.
