Montreal Canadiens chefs preparing over 50,000 meals for Food Banks of Quebec

The Montreal Canadiens and Group CH have announced they’re teaming up with La Tablée des Chefs and its partners for Les Cuisines Solidaires, in an effort to produce more than 800,000 meals for the Food Banks of Quebec.

Group CH chefs are planning to prepare 50,000 meals in an effort to help out.

“The COVID-19 crisis has severely affected the activities of community organizations, many of which have even had to close for lack of resources, adding to the uncertainty experienced by an increasing number of individuals and families who depend on their assistance daily,” the team announced.

La Tablée des Chefs is bringing together more than 100 chefs and cooks — including those from the Bell Centre restaurants and Taverne 1909 signé St-Hubert restaurants in Montreal and Laval — to complete the task. They’re hoping to implement this initiative to allow the distribution of prepared meals to hundreds of organizations across Quebec.
