Fans roast the Canadiens after last night's embarrassing loss to the Bruins

The Montreal Canadiens welcomed the Boston Bruins to the Bell Centre on Tuesday night, hoping to start off the last week of November on a positive note.

The end result was anything but.

Bruins forward David Pastrnak scored a hat trick, Carey Price was pulled after surrendering five goals on 11 shots, and the Canadiens were handed their fifth consecutive loss to the tune of an 8-1Ā shellacking.

Last night was the first time the Bruins scored eight goals on the Canadiens since February, 2011 in an 8-6 win at the TD Garden.

Canadiens fans took to Twitter to voice their displeasure, because sometimes screaming into the TV isn’t enough.

It’s never fun to see your team get embarrassed on home ice, especially after giving up a 4-0 lead in Saturday’s 6-5 loss to the New York Rangers, but there is a silver lining. You might get a few chuckles out of the reactions.

The Canadiens, now 11-8-5, will look to change course onĀ  Thursday night against the New Jersey Devils at the Bell Centre.

Until then, here’s how the Twitterverse reacted to the Habs showing last night.
