Get ready to rock your shorts and flipflops, we’ve got a warm weekend ahead of us.

Just kidding.

Okay, maybe it’s not going to be warm enough for shorts, but this weekend Montreal is going to be hit with a much-needed dose of above freezing temperatures.

According to Environment Canada, the freezing temperatures we’re experiencing today (it’s currently -23°C with the wind chill) are going to rise and it’s going to reach a high of 6°C by this Saturday.

That’s almost a 30°C change in temperature…

The warm weather will, unfortunately, be short-lived, as temperatures are expected to drop back into the negatives by Saturday evening.

By Sunday, the temperature will reach a high of 1°C, which will be joined by a mix of sun and clouds.

On Sunday evening, we will see another drop in temperature, as Montreal will be hit with a low of -8°C.

Whatever you get up to this weekend, enjoy the warm weather (while it lasts) and have a great weekend!
