The McCord Museum is open late on Wednesday nights and it's free

The only reason to skip a hump day 5 a 7? Free entrance to the McCord Museum!

The McCord Museum, located on Sherbrooke Street right across from the McGill campus, has been offering free admission on Wednesday evenings for quite some time.

However, Montrealers could only gain free entry starting at 5pm and the museum closed only one hour later. In essence, it wasn’t ideal.

Now, that problem is no more! The McCord Museum just announced that they are increasing their summer hours on Wednesday, and will now be open until 9pm.

That means, Montrealers can take their sweet time exploring this awesome museum.

As per usual, free admission applies only to the McCord Museum’s permanent exhibits. To visit a major exhibition (such as Fashioning Expo 67 or Aislin: 50 Years of Cartoon), it will cost $9.50.
