Katy Perry is pushing back the kickoff of her new tour in Montreal due to “unavoidable production delays.”
Perry’s Witness: The Tour will begin on September 19 at the Bell Centre. The show was initially scheduled for September 9.
In a statement, Perry said key elements of her stage design could not be available due to the production delays, pushing back her rehearsals.
“I’ll be spending the next few weeks taking the time to properly prepare the show to be an experience I am proud to share with you,” she said. “I’m sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but hope everyone who sees the show will agree it is worth the wait.”
Perry will also be making stops in Toronto on October 31 and November 1 and Vancouver on Feb. 5, 2018.
The pop star also announced that Carly Rae Jepsen, Noah Cyrus, and Purity Ring will open for her on tour.
