The Montreal Canadiens take on the Anaheim Ducks at the Bell Centre tonight, but fans looking to tune in may have trouble finding it on their TV guides.
While RDS will carry the game in French as usual, those searching for an English broadcast will have little luck flipping through channels like TSN or Sportsnet.
The reason? Amazon Prime Video now holds exclusive rights for all national Monday night NHL games in Canada. That means five Canadiens games this season will be available in English only on the streaming service.
Luckily, all you need to access the stream is an Amazon Prime account. Prime members can watch games via the service at no extra cost. If you’re not a member, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial, which includes access to live NHL games and the full Prime Video library. A subscription costs $9.99 per month or $99 annually.
Tonight marks Prime’s third Habs broadcast of the 2024-25 season. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 pm ET, but coverage begins on Prime at 6:45 pm ET.
- 6:45 pm: Home Ice Access
- 7:30 pm: Pre-game segments
- 7:45 pm: Puck drop
The Habs-Ducks Prime stream will also feature a few special segments, including a pre-game chat with Canadiens forward Patrik Laine, who recently returned from injury, and an intermission interview with Montreal’s executive vice president of hockey operations, Jeff Gorton.
Sitting last place in the NHL’s Atlantic Division, the Habs, who are riding a 10-14-3 record, have won five of their last 10 games.
Hereās the full schedule of remaining Canadiens games that will be streamed on Prime Monday Night Hockey this season:
- December 9: Anaheim Ducks at Montreal Canadiens
- January 6: Vancouver Canucks at Montreal Canadiens
- April 14: Chicago Blackhawks at Montreal Canadiens
