There is a freezing rain warning in effect for Montreal tonight

Between 2 and 5 mm of freezing precipitation is expected.

The Weather Network has issued a weather alert, stating that freezing rain is expected in Montreal overnight.

The city could see up to 5 mm of freezing precipitation, which should begin falling this evening.

However, prior to the freezing rain ice pellets are expected to fall starting as early as 5 pm, which then may turn into snow for a couple of hours in the evening before transitioning to freezing rain.

Between 11pm tonight and 6 am Tuesday morning, the city will likely experience between 2mm and 5mm of freezing rain.

In terms of the temperature, today’s high is 0 degrees (feels like -5).

Remember to salt your walkways and be careful when walking outdoors tonight!
