Everything you need to know about Gilmore Girls star's Spin Energie studio
Spin Energie is by far one of the top places to go spinning in Montreal. Conveniently located near Parc and Sherbrooke, Spin Energie is an indoor cycling studio promising an “LA style” full body workout.
Boasting the best spin instructors in Montreal, along with a variety of musically-themed classes, Spin Energie has something for everyone – as long as you’re willing to do the work. After all, the studio’s motto is “The difference between who you are and what you want to be, is what you do”.
There are 3-4 classes happening each day. The first at 7:00am for the early risers, and the others typically held at lunchtime and then again between 5:00pm and 7:00pm. Musically-themed classes range from “old school rock” to “Spin Latino”. Some classes are even dedicated to specific artists. In the past there have been classes featuring music by Pitbull, Kanye West, Jay Z, Jennifer Lopez, and Ariana Grande. If you’re someone who gets pumped listening to their favourite beats, this might be the studio of your dreams.
And here’s an interesting fact that will tickle your Gilmore Girls facny- the studio is owned by star, Yanic Truesdale. Hailing from Montreal, Truesdale, aka everyone’s favourite cynical and sarcastic concierge, Michel Gerard, founded Spin Energie in 2013.
Thus, if the insane workout offered at Spin Energie isn’t enough to convince you, maybe its star-studded clientele will do the trick. You never know, you could be spinning next to Yanic Truesdale one day (and who knows, maybe he’ll spill some secrets about the Gilmore Girls reboot with you!).
So if you want to test your cardio, individual classes are $20 a pop, while 5 classes will cost you $95 and 10 classes will cost you $175. The first week, however, is offered at a slight discount of $45 for one week of unlimited use.
