Rainbows have become a symbol of hope and solidarity throughout Quebec during the pandemic and on Sunday night, the Champlain Bridge lit up in an array of colours to relay some added positivity.

Quebecers have joined in on the #cavabienaller campaign on social media, showcasing creative ways to display rainbows with the slogan ā€œĆ§a va bien allerā€ (itā€™s going to be okay).

The slogan has been popular on sidewalks and windows but the Samuel de Champlain Bridge’sĀ 3.4 kilometre illumination was bright enough to get Justin Trudeau’s attention.

As part of his daily briefings, the Prime Minister said Quebecers should look to the bridge as a sign of support.

Here’s what the rainbow-filled Samuel de Champlain Bridge looked like through the eyes of the virtual world.
