Montreal’s favourite candlelit event is back

Christmas on the Avenue, Montreal’s favourite candlelit event is happening again in 2016.

Taking place on December 3rd, Montrealers are invited to make their way to the corner of Avenue Mont-Royal and Cartier at 5 pm.

From there, participants will walk down Mont Royal, torch in hand, lighting up the night.

This year’s event is run by Operation Sharing The Flame. The organization invites you to make a donation in exchange for a torch. This can be in the form of $2 or in the form of a toy, teddy bear, or non-perishable good.

The candlelit procession will leave Fellowship Park at 5pm and walk all the way to Parc Lafontaine, arriving between 7pm and 7:30pm.

At Parc Lafontaine, everyone will be met by a musical performance a fireworks display.
