Every year, Ottawa hosts the massive Canadian Tulip Festival.

The flagship festival showcases the capital’s official flower as a symbol of international friendship while hosting tulip art, floral exhibits and installations from artists across Canada.

All this appears alongside culinary experiences, interactive family programming and entertainment, breathtaking fireworks, guided tours, and of course, millions of tulips in bloom.

Taking place from May 10 to 20, the Canadian Tulip Festival is the largest of its kind in the world.

So be sure to plan a road trip (or train trip) to Ottawa this spring.
