Quebec is home to some of Canada’s most diverse employers, according to Canada’s Best Diversity Employers for 2018.

The annual competition recognizes leaders who create inclusive workplaces and programs for employees from five groups: women, members of visible minorities, persons with disabilities, Aboriginal Peoples and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) peoples.

“Several employers on this year’s list are also focused on shifting perceptions of disabilities,” said Kristina Leung, Senior Editor at the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project, which manages the competition. “They are re-framing the conversation to the employment possibilities, rather than what’s not possible, whether it’s mental health, intellectual disabilities or accessibility.”

To determine this year’s winners, the competition reviewed diversity and inclusiveness initiatives from employers who applied for the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. The finalists represent diversity in their industry and their region of Canada.

These are the top diversity employers in Quebec.
