Everything coming to Amazon Prime Video this weekend

You made it to the weekend and your date with Amazon Prime Video.

The streaming platform is releasing some original content, a new series, and some older content from way back in 2020.

Along with some content that’s bene released earlier in December, here is what’s on (literally) Amazon Prime Video, just in time for the weekend.

Flack – Season 1

Robyn, an American publicist working for a cutthroat London PR company that represents troubled celebrities, is adept at keeping her client’s lives appearing in perfect order while her own falls to pieces.

The Rental

Two couples rent a vacation home for what should be a celebratory weekend getaway. Directed by Dave Franco, the film stars Alison Brie and Dan Stevens.

Money Plane

A professional thief with $40 million in debt and his family’s life on the line must commit one final heist: rob a futuristic airborne casino filled with the world’s most dangerous criminals.

One Night in Miami

One Night in Miami is a fictional account of one incredible night where icons Muhammad Ali, Malcolm X, Sam Cooke, and Jim Brown gathered discussing their roles in the civil rights movement and cultural upheaval of the 60s. Starring Kingsley Ben-Adir, Eli Goree, Aldis Hodge and Leslie Odom Jr.

Tandav – Season 1

Set in the capital city of the world’s largest democracy, the series will take viewers inside the closed, chaotic corridors of power and uncover the manipulations, charades and dark secrets of people who will go to any lengths in pursuit of power. Starring Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub.

American Gods – Season 3

An inevitable war builds between the Old Gods of Mythology and our New Gods of Technology. Ricky Whittle, Crispin Glover, Marilyn Manson, Julia Sweeney and Danny Trejo are among the cast.

Herself

Herself follows the story of a young mother who escapes her abusive husband and fights back against a broken housing system. She sets out to build her own home and in the process rebuilds her life and re-discovers herself.

Shirley

A famous horror writer finds inspiration for her next book after she and her husband take in a young couple. Starring Elisabeth Moss, Logan Lerman, and Odessa Young.

Antebellum (Exclusive Content)

Successful author Veronica Henley finds herself trapped in a horrifying reality and must uncover the mind-bending mystery before it’s too late. Starring Janelle Monáe, Jena Malone, and Gabourey Sidibe.

Palm Springs

When carefree Nyles (Andy Samberg) and reluctant maid of honour Sarah (Cristin Milioti) have a chance encounter at a Palm Springs wedding, things get complicated when they find themselves unable to escape the venue, themselves, or each other.

Yearly Departed

Yearly Departed is a series of eulogies for the year 2020, where a lineup of all-women comedians will deliver everything from casual sex to beige Band-Aids and everything in between that we’ve “lost” in 2020.
