Students of any age will be eligible for reduced STM fares as of September

The STM has just made a major announcement on their website: as of September 1, 2017, students 26 years and older are entitled to a student fare, regardless of their age.
Formerly, only students 25 years of age and younger could obtain a student discount on STM fares. And the discount is significant.
Student fares are reduced by 40%. In fact, a student monthly pass costs just $49.75, while an adult monthly pass will set you back $83.
In essence, this is a major win for all those still in university!
To get the discounted fare, you must visit your nearest STM location and grab a photo OPUS card. Though the fare won’t come into effect until September 1st, you can ask for your OPUS card as early as August 1st!
