A trendy spot on Saint Laurent Boulevard known for its hip vibe, innovative taco menu, and organic offerings. One of our favourites on the menu is the fish, avocado, cabbage, and chili taco. But if seafood isn’t your thing, don’t worry, there are plenty of options for meat lovers too. The bonus? Their tequila selection is off the hook!

This small Mexican joint in the Upper Plateau is the place to be when it comes to tacos in the summertime. With a beautiful outdoor patio expanding out onto Saint Denis, there’s no better place to sip on a Margarita and enjoy delicious tacos. Our favourite? La Matraca’s pineapple spit-grilled pork tacos.

Where: 4607 Rue Saint-Denis, Montreal

Ta Chido

Serving up some of the best Mexican food in Montreal, Ta Chido is located in Outremont/Mile End. While they make some mean sandwiches and quesadillas, Ta Chido’s tacos really steal the show. The Pulled Pork Taco is a fan favourite and is made with pulled pork, coriander, and onions. However, if you’re looking for something a little more interesting the Taco Azteca comes with pork rinds and fried grasshoppers.

Carlos & Pepe’s is a favourite amongst McGill and Concordia students due to its close proximity to campus, the large drink menu, and the inexpensive tacos. Carlos & Pepe’s are not exactly known for their authentic Mexican food, but their $1 tacos with rice are really quite tasty and the price is unbeatable.

Cartel Street Food Bar is where it’s at on Tuesday nights. Serving up their scrumptious street-style tacos for just $2 a pop, you’re in for a treat. Popular fillings include baja fish, fried plantains, sauteed mushrooms, and grilled shrimp.
