Thursday has arrived, which means we are a bit closer to the weekend! From an International Balloon Festival to Pride festivities, get out there and enjoy these events.

International Balloon Festival

Imagine spending a beautiful August afternoon gazing at hot air balloons.

That’s exactly what you can do if you take a trip down to the International Balloon Festival in Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu.

Located only a 40-minute drive from Montreal, this festival features over 60 colourful balloons that will take flight over the course of the nine-day event.

If you’re one of those people who geek out on shows like Game of Thrones, ancient castles, and secret orders, then you’re going to want to check out this bar.

Recently opened on St. Hubert in the little Italy/Petit Patrie area, Idole is a cool new concept bar that takes you back to the dark ages. Inspired by ancient places of worship and fabled secret societies, the bar’s cozy, dimly lit medieval vibe is refreshingly different from the rest of the scene. Lined with real stone walls and thematic décor, its rich textures and dark corners make it the ultimate date spot.

Grey Goose Terrace

Quebec’s first-ever Grey Goose Terrace will be open all summer long. Located at the Old Montreal hot spot Sea Salt & Ceviche (led by chef Kimberly Lallouz) be ready to savour oysters & martinis, pop-tails, in addition to Grey Goose punch, food and cocktail pairings in a fun and festive ambience.
