Top travel LGBTQ+ Instagram accounts to fill your feed with Pride

Jun 14 2019, 4:30 am

The month of June is named Pride Month to commemorate the 1969 riots that occurred at New York‘s Stonewall Inn, which sparked the modern gay rights movement. In addition, Toronto just celebrated an epic Pride Parade that had everyone marching for equality, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Rainbows are popping up all over to recognize the impact that LGBTQ+ people have had on the world, and your Instagram feed doesn’t want to feel left out.

So we’ve rounded up some of the coolest travel LGBTQ+ Instagram accounts for you to help brighten up your screen.

There are joint couple accounts that are actually #relationshipsgoals. We mean, seriously, there’s a picture of a couple walking the beaches of South Africa surrounded by cute little penguins (the_globbers, I’m looking at you).

There are accounts of users who are single, living their best life, who’ll make you want to book a flight right now.

And accounts that showcase the cool things people are doing with their lives. Like, a wedding photographer that travels the US snapping pics of LGBTQ+ newlyweds.

Go ahead—stalk, admire, follow, live through vicariously, whatever.

Check out some of the top accounts below:

nomadicboys

This account is not for the single-light-hearted. Nomadicboys is @StefanArestis’s and @SebastienChaneac’s joint Instagram that’s full of photos proving that life after marriage can look just as exciting as life before. They’ll prove quickly to be the cutest couple you know when you scroll through their photos that showcase just how in love they are, all over the world.

onceuponajrny

Another couple Instagram, but we promise this one will warm your heart. Roxanne and Maartje literally write in their bio: “Two girls travelling happily ever after” — and you can tell they mean it. In all of their photos, t hey’re laughing, smiling, and genuinely enjoying each others’ company. The two aren’t taking photos for the sake of it, they’re documenting the happiest moments in their lives. Too adorable.

Finally, a non-couple LGBTQ+ travel Instagram. Zander Hodgson makes it look so easy to be so put together. His Instagram has a moody, wanderlust vibe that features a style with stormy lighting and unique angles. Sometimes celebrating pride means jumping into a pride parade, and that’s what these two Instagrammers are doing. Scrolling through their account, you’ll find quickly that they’re just a married couple who want to have a good time — and that they have a great sense of humour (check out the matching pink sunglasses they have on in every other photo).

megcale and lindscale

These last ones really are unique. The Cales have separate Instagram accounts that document the same trips, but you wouldn’t have been able to tell just by looking at their photos. The two women may be married but they have completely different styles. Look through their lenses and see what they’re experiencing on their adventures.
