Traditional Balinese food is an explosion of flavours with Chinese and Indian influences and usually features rice as a staple with fresh vegetables, meat and seafood. There are plenty of restaurants for local cuisine throughout Bali, and many tourists love to join a cooking class where they can try their hand at creating the local dishes.
Outside of the traditional eats, Bali has become such a melting pot of various cultures that there is no end to the options for international flavours throughout the island. No matter what you are craving, you can likely find it in Bali!
Here are a few of our favourite spots to grab some grub.
Chill & hip(ster) cafe: Crate
Crate is everything we love about Canggu. Itâs chill, healthy, boho, trendy, and has a serene ambiance thanks to the surrounding rice fields. With Insta-worthy smoothie bowls, perfectly brewed coffee, and a variety of veggie options, Crate is the spot for attracting digital nomads, surfer dudes, and anyone else looking to soak up the laid-back vibes that make this area so special.
