Baby Archie is ready to take on the globe, just like his parents.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently announced that they will be carrying out a tour to Southern Africa this fall, as requested by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Baby Archie will be joining for his first overseas country (a choice that we strongly support): South Africa.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared the news on their Instagram account, which stated that this will be their first official tour as a family.

Us Weekly has reported that the family has hired a new nanny to take care of Archie while his mother and father are visiting with community and charity leaders. The nanny is reportedly “an older lady with 20-plus years of experience.”

Following the family’s visit to South Africa, Harry will go on to visit Malawi and Angola, along with a short working visit to Botswana.

“The Duke and Duchess are really looking forward to meeting so many of you on the ground and continuing to raise awareness of the high impact work local communities are doing across the Commonwealth and beyond,” shares the caption.

Archie will be around six months of age at the time of the trip, which will make him one of the youngest royals to go on an official tour.Ā Cousin Prince George accompanied the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Australia and New Zealand in 2014 when he was only eight months old.

Africa is a special place for Harry and Meghan, who have travelled to the continent for humanitarian efforts in the past. Harry is theĀ president ofĀ @africanparksnetwork, where he advocates for the communities and wildlife that coexist in some of the most vulnerable environments around the world.

We’re not sure what Archie’s plan is, but with all the magic that South Africa has to offer, we’re sure he will have a blast! Will he venture along the stunning Garden Route? Check off his bucket list in Cape Town? Perhaps go on safari and spot the Big Five?Ā We can’t wait to find out.
