Fox News reported on ‘3 Mexican countries’ and Twitter was NOT going to let it slide

When planning a trip, the options of where to go are endless. There are these carefully curated options for every type of traveller, there are these off the beaten path destinations, there are… all the Mexican countries.
In a big “whoops,” Fox News Channel posted an inaccurate graphic on the Fox & Friends Weekend show, that stated: “Trump cuts US aid to 3 Mexican Countries.”
The graphic was in regards to President Trump’s announcement that the US would be cutting off aid to the three Central American countries that comprise the “Northern Triangle”: El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras, for not doing enough for the “humanitarian crisis.”
As you know, friends, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras are countries in Central America. They are not, in fact, Mexican countries. That would be the one and only country that is Mexico.
The news outlet has since apologized for its mistake, but to Twitter, it was too little too late.
The account @BadFoxGraphics had been waiting all its life for this.
How Stupid Is @foxandfriends?

Mistakes do happen, but we all know that one media outlet’s mistake is the Twitter trolls’ gain.
This is less an error than an expression of Fox News’ underlying sentiment towards most Latinos https://t.co/jixywxLtNl

Hardest part of planning a vacation is always deciding which of the Mexican countries to visit.

Fox News issues correction, explaining that its headline of “three Mexican countries” should have read “Three Brown Countries.”
