Disney Springs will begin a phased reopening this month

Disney Springs in Florida will begin a phased reopening starting on May 20, following its temporary closure, which began on March 17.

“Following the guidance of government and health officials, a limited number of shopping and dining experiences that are owned by third-party operating participants will begin to open during this initial phase,” a press release explains.

The rest of the Walt Disney World Resort will remain closed, including theme parks and resort hotels.

Disney Springs will be making several operational changes, including implementing increased cleaning procedures, the use of appropriate face coverings by both cast members and guests, limited-contact guest services and additional safety training for cast members.

“We will apply learnings and ideas from leaders in the health and travel industries, and we’re also talking to our unions as we prepare for some cast members to return to work,” the press release states.
Disney Springs will have limitations on capacity and parking and will be altering operating hours as they navigate the situation.
Fans are encouraged to stay safe and alert to any new updates from Disney Parks and Disney Springs.
