Your childhood dreams of spending the night in the coolest treehouse can still come true — all you need to do is book a trip to Portland.
The Saul Zaik Treehouse is listed on the rental website Airbnb for $276 USD per night for two guests with one bedroom and one private bathroom.
Even though you’re literally sitting in nature, it’s less than miles from downtown Portland, in the Southwest Hills near the Marquam Park Nature Reserve.
The treehouse is on a hillside with views you can see through its floor-to-ceiling windows of Portland and the beautiful nature park, with hundreds of miles of land with hiking trails and is the home to wildlife.
Getting to the nuts and bolts of the treehouse, it sits upon a WWII liberty ship mast, the lower level “was designed as a guest suite for visiting family members with a sitting room, bedroom, private bath, mini-decks, and endless views,” the posting reads.
The posting adds it has a comfy long sofa, long low coffee table “for placing ones feet or coffee upon,” queen bed, and shared laundry room.
If you’re wondering how you can get there, the post reads transportation can be arranged, but there is also street parking, and Uber and Lyft usually arrives in less than 10 minutes.
Lance also notes that his cat Bukowski “presumes all visitors will serve at his pleasure, so expect a warm welcome.”
The post adds that the Saul Zaik Treehouse has air conditioning, wifi, a washer and dryer, and is “420 friendly.”
