On top of offering accommodations to frontline healthcare workers across Canada, Airbnb has launched Online Experiences, a new program where hosts can share unique, memorable activities for guests to enjoy for as little as $8 per person.
The company has also partnered with organizations worldwide to curate free experiences for those most isolated, such as elderly communities.
“With so many people needing to stay indoors to protect their health, we want to provide an opportunity for our hosts to connect with our global community of guests in the only way possible right now, online,” said head of Airbnb Experiences, Catherine Powell, in a press release.”
The experiences are a new way for people to come together during this time of crisis.
Here are a few of our favourite Airbnb Online Experiences:

Travel to Cape Town, South Africa, where you’ll enter the world of the penguin. Over the course of a one-hour chat-and-crafts workshop, you’ll discover facts and insights of the African penguin. By participating in this experience, you’ll be directly contributing to the conservation of African Penguins.
Join Luiza in Barcelona as she focuses on the interpretation of your astrological chart.
