The first weekend of legal cannabis in the country continued to roll out long lineups in Montreal.
Like Beer Stores in Ontario, the government-run stores offer dried buds, ground cannabis, pre-rolled joints, cannabis oil, pills or oral spray, all at various prices.
The SQDC opened three outlets in Montreal last Wednesday with plans to open an additional 160 stores across the province in the next two years.
The three shops in Montreal, Ste. Catherine West, L’Acadie and Rosemont-Petite-Patrie, have thus been constantly busy and in the case of the downtown location, the store’s 9 pm closing time has been strictly enforced, turning away dozens of customer’s before locking the door.
Instagram was still buzzing on Monday morning, loaded with pictures and videos of customers trying to get to the joint.
