Legalization just ONE DAY away, so we’ve put together a list of the top cannabis-related events happening around Greater Vancouver over the next few weeks. 

Whether you’re hoping to learn more about cannabis and the new legislation, or just looking to celebrate this massive milestone in Canadian history, these events around the city will help you get informed, celebrate, and meet some of the movers and shakers that are shaping this evolving industry.   

CannTrust’s Street Activation

What: CannTrust is hosting a series of pop-ups around the city for each of its recreational brands. Street teams will be handing out goodies to help celebrate the day.

Legalization is a lie!

What: As cannabis prohibition protest taking place at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Event organizers are encouraging attendees to “bring your signs, flags, cameras, and of course your joints!” and voice their thoughts on the Cannabis Act.

ILEA Educates: How Cannabis Will Affect the Event Industry

What: Join ILEA Vancouver for a panel discussion on how the newly rolled out cannabis regulations will impact the event industry. Appetizers will be provided, courtesy of Stanley Park Pavilion.

The Gateway Show

What: Billy Anderson presents The Gateway Show. Watch four comedians as they perform their best sets, go off-stage to get super high, and come back on-stage to attempt another set while completely stoned.

Legally Green: The Little Book of Cannabis Book Launch & Celebration

What: Award-winning Vancouver journalist Amanda Siebert is celebrating the release of her inaugural book The Little Book of Cannabis: How Marijuana Can Improve Your Life. Hosted by Blum & Grow, the event will feature a book reading and signing, as well as appearances from experts in the book.

Legalization—One week in: A panel of experts reflect on the federal changes to cannabis policy

What: Hosted by the BC Independent Cannabis Association, attend the post-legalization discussion around the progress of legalization in BC, and reflect on how the first week of the new legislation has gone.

Cannabis Professionals Unite

What: With the recent changes happening in our community, it’s time to start making connections with the big players in Vancouver’s cannabis industry. To make sure you’re up to speed on your cannabis knowledge, TalentBud is hosting a crash course in Cannabis, lead by CannaReps. Learn important key terms and industry knowledge, and mingle with like-minded, cannabis-friendly professionals.
