A massive $30 million lotto ticket was sold in Edmonton

You may want to check your lottery tickets this morning as an Edmonton lottery player is now a multimillionaire after scoring big in last night’s Lotto 6/49 draw.

The Lotto 6/49 draw took place on Wednesday, February 5. Someone matched the winning numbers 36445721-02 to beat the odds and win the Gold Ball jackpot. As a result, they’ll soon be taking home the $30 million top prize.

According to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC), the ticket was purchased in Edmonton.

Winners have one year to claim their prize and can start their claim by contacting Player Care at 1-800-665-3313.

While the top prize went west, players out east nabbed some serious cash in last night’s draw.

The winning numbers for the Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw were 04, 13, 20, 32, 37, 46, and bonus 33. One lottery player matched six of the winning numbers, netting themselves the $5 million top prize. The lucky ticket was purchased in Quebec.

Someone else matched five of the six winning numbers and the bonus numbers to win the second prize in the Classic Draw, worth $234,624.20. The ticket was sold in Ontario. In total, 59 people will split the third prize, each receiving $1,669.80.
