The Edmonton Oilers may not have clinched a playoff spot just yet, but fans will be able to start buying first-round tickets soon.
With the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs just over a week away from starting, the Oilers are sitting comfortably in third place in the Pacific Division and are six points up on the Calgary Flames for the last divisional spot. Edmonton could clinch a spot as early as Wednesday night if they defeat the St. Louis Blues and the Flames lose to the Anaheim Ducks.
To get ahead of things becoming official, the team announced on social media this morning that fans will be able to buy full-round ticket packages starting this Friday at noon, while individual game tickets will go on sale on Saturday morning.

There is still no confirmation on how many first-round playoff games will be hosted in Edmonton. If the Oilers stick in third place, they will not hold home-ice advantage and will only host Games 3, 4, and 6 at Rogers Place. However, if Edmonton can go on a late-season surge and lock up second place, that means Games 1,2,5, and 7 will be held in the Alberta capital.
Edmonton’s opening-round opponent has also yet to be decided. At the moment it seems likely that the Oilers are on a collision course with the LA Kings for a fourth straight season, but that could change. The Kings are only five points back of the division lead, and if they make up that gap, it would push the Vegas Golden Knights down to play the Oilers in round one.
Those who don’t want to shell out the cash to buy tickets will most likely have other ways to get in on the fun. In previous years, the team has hosted watch parties in the Ice District Plaza and the FanPark beside the arena. While it’s likely that those areas will open again, no concrete plans have been announced.
This is set to be the fifth consecutive season that playoff hockey will be played in the Alberta capital.
No matter how it shakes out, Oilers fans will be in for yet another exciting playoff matchup, and those wanting to be in Rogers Place to experience it first-hand will need to be quick to grab their tickets.
Once tickets go on sale, you can find them on Ticketmaster.
