WestJet announced its new 2025 summer routes on Monday, and more flights from Edmonton International Airport were revealed, including one new route to a US destination.

The Calgary-based airline is launching a brand-new five-times weekly service between YEG and Salt Lake City, Utah, starting May 15 and running until October 24.

On top of adding SLC to their list of destinations, travellers will soon have an easier time getting between Edmonton and Chicago, with a three-times-weekly service between the two cities beginning June 4 and ending October 22.

To the south of us, WestJet is also launching several routes, including a two-times-weekly service between Calgary and Anchorage, Alaska, running between June 29 and September 7.

“WestJet’s expanded summer schedule reflects our continued commitment to connecting Canadians by increasing our domestic and international capacity,” said John Weatherill, WestJet Group executive vice president and chief commercial officer.

“Offering more options for business and leisure travel, we’re excited to see our guests’ stories take off this summer as we ensure Canadians have affordable and reliable access to visit the people and destinations they love.”
