Jabulani Arts Festival

Women’s Pop-Up Screening

What: This week, the Edmonton Short Film Festival is presenting a FREE Pop-Up Screening program spotlighting women filmmakers from Alberta. Experience powerful local storytelling on the big screen, then stay for live filmmaker Q&As following each screening for an inside look at the creative process.

What: The NHL playoffs are in full swing, and you don’t want to miss your chance to see the Oilers play in what’s sure to be a wild run for the Stanley Cup! The Oilers will face off against the Anaheim Ducks at home for Game 5 on Tuesday.

And if you want a taste of that playoff energy but don’t want to drop a few hundred bucks to do so, the Moss Pit and Fan Park at ICE District just outside Rogers Place will once again be open for fans to enjoy.

What: Right in the heart of downtown, the Art Gallery of Alberta (AGA) has been Edmonton’s go-to for art and culture for 100 years. With rotating exhibitions, workshops, and events, it’s the perfect spot to get inspired, learn something new, or just soak up some creativity.

Enjoy free admission to the AGA on the last Thursday of every month from 4 to 7 p.m.

When: Open Wednesdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Fridays to Sundays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
