Escaping the Edmonton winters just got easier with Swoop airlines adding two new Mexico flights to its Edmonton network.

Swoop, West Jet’s ultra-low-cost-carrier, launched its inaugural flight from Edmonton International Airport (YEG) to Cancún International Airport (CUN) on October 31 with flights to Mazatlán International Airport (MZT) departing from YEG starting November 2.

The addition of these two new Mexican destinations comes a few weeks after Swoop launched flights to Puerto Vallarta.

With Swoop’s unbundled airfare, services, and amenities, Edmontonians can escape to sandy beaches and clear blue waters at a more affordable price point.

Swoop’s growing network now connects travellers in 17 domestic, transborder, and international destinations.

“We are always striving to provide our travellers with more options for their getaways. Our unbundled model allows us to do that at a price that works for them,” said Steven Greenway, President, Swoop, in a release.

“We are thrilled to make international travel more accessible for Canadians by offering three Mexican destinations for Albertans to enjoy.”

Flights are now available for booking through to April 25, 2020.
