The City of Edmonton is opening its spray parks again just in time for the official start of summer.
The kid-friendly splash pads have been closed to stop the transmission of coronavirus.
There are 25 spray parks in Edmonton, and the City will begin opening the first seven this weekend. Callingwood, Castle Downs, G. Edmunds Kelly, Glengarry, Jacki Parker, Kinsmen, and South Terwillegar Park will all be welcoming kids starting June 20.
The remaining parks will be opened gradually over the next two weeks, according to a news release from the city.

“When used safely, these parks provide an opportunity for local, outdoor, easily accessible fun for children,” the release said.
Those using the park are reminded to practice physical distancing and to stay home if they’re sick.
More details about which spray parks are open and their hours can be found on the City’s website.
