Hockey’s biggest podcast is headed to Netflix.

Spittin’ Chiclets, a Barstool Sports podcast featuring former NHLers Paul Bissonnette, Ryan Whitney, and Keith Yandle, along with Brian McGonagle (RA) and producer Mike Grinnell, has announced it’s leaving YouTube for Netflix.

All video clips will shift exclusively to Netflix early in 2026, in the United States. Other countries, including Canada, will follow suit shortly after.

“We’re excited to partner with Netflix and hopefully bring new audiences to each platform,” said Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy.

Spittin’ Chiclets was created by Whitney and McGonable in 2016, though it was when Bissonnette joined the show in 2018 that it really started to blow up. The podcast has had interviews with some of the NHL’s best players, both former and current, including the likes of Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Sidney Crosby, and Connor McDavid.

Spittin’ Chiclets uploads a variety of content to their YouTube page. This not only includes all interviews with guests, but several other popular features, such as the Sandbagger, a golf series that features Whitney and Bissonnette go head-to-head with some legends of the game.

This deal with Netflix will also include two very other prominent Barstool shows in Pardon My Take and The Ryen Russillo Podcast.

“We’re thrilled to team up with Barstool Sports and bring their top video podcasts to Netflix,” said Lauren Smith, Netflix’s VP of content licensing and programming strategy. “This partnership broadens how our members connect with Barstool’s leading sports voices and delivers exactly what our members crave: unfiltered commentary, sharp takes, and undeniable humor. We look forward to giving fans another exciting way to engage with the conversations they love on Netflix.”

Fans who strictly listen to the audio versions of these shows need not panic, as episodes from all three will continue to remain available on all major podcast platforms.
