Get ready, Edmonton, because after all of this snow, slushy roads are very likely in the forecast with the city set to see a temperature swing of 17 degrees over the next week.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), tonight and tomorrow night’s lows of -17°C are the coldest it will be for a while before the weather starts to warm up again throughout the week.

By Monday, the forecast is set to hit a high of -3°C, and will gradually warm through the week until we hit the balmiest point on the calendar, Thursday, which is expected to reach a high of zero.

ECCC
With all of this snow we’ve been getting, there’s no doubt we’ll have plenty of slush to contend with soon on the roads and sidewalks as well.
ECCC forecasts even more snow on the way for Edmonton today, with a 30 per cent chance of flurries this afternoon and evening, as well as flurries predicted early next week.
So, you’ll want to bundle up for now, but make sure there’s plenty of washer fluid in your car for the week ahead. It’s looking like you’ll be needing it.
