This cafe near Edmonton will have a zone for kids to play and for parents to relax
There’s a new space opening near Edmonton that’s kid and parent-friendly.
Christine Lutz and Tranel Sahebkar are moms in the Parkland area who saw the need for a space where young children could connect and caregivers could relax. That’s how Sip N’ Play came into the picture.
Sip N’ Play is coming soon to Spruce Grove, just west of Edmonton, with the concept of creating a cafe space for both children and parents or caregivers.
Admission will be $10 for each child six months and older on a first-come, first-served basis. Though there is no time limit, the recommended maximum time for a visit is three hours to ensure everyone gets an opportunity to enjoy the space. In addition to this, once you’ve checked in, you cannot go in and out of the area.
As for the space itself, it’s going to feature a variety of toys chosen for children starting at six months, with safe, engaging fun for every age. If your child is under two years old, there is also a toddler zone exclusive to them to ensure safety. Though, the open play zone will be an area where kids of all ages can let their imaginations go wild, while their parents and caregivers enjoy a refreshment nearby.
To keep children engaged, there will be a rotating toy selection, ensuring a surprise waiting every visit.
In terms of the menu, its website currently states it’s focused on bringing authentic Asian-inspired cuisine to Parkland County. This includes dishes like Wonton Soup, Bahn Mi, and Korean Rice Bowls.
When it finally does open, its hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed on Sunday for private events (as well as subject to closure on Saturdays, but we’d suggest checking its Facebook for notices in the future).
