The Florida Panthers aren’t done celebrating their second-straight Stanley Cup win over the Edmonton Oilers just yet.
Though training camps are soon set to begin, the Panthers have been rightfully enjoying their second consecutive championship and haven’t shied away when it comes to taking shots at the Oilers. It’s become quite clear since this year’s Cup Final came to an end just how much these two teams despise one another.
While we have seen countless trolls from several Panthers players since their Stanley Cup win back in June, many of them have revolved around Chappell Roan’s hit song “Pink Pony Club.”
The song became a hit in Edmonton during the playoffs, as the Oilers used it as their win song. It didn’t take long before all of Rogers Place was singing along after each and every victory.
Yesterday, it was Sam Bennett’s turn to troll the Oilers and their fan base. The 29-year-old had his day with the Cup recently, choosing to take it out on a boat. A video has since dropped showing him wakesurfing with the Cup in clear view while “Pink Pony Club” is blaring in the background.

While Oilers fans certainly won’t enjoy this video, Bennett has all the bragging rights in the world as of now. Not only was he able to win his second-straight Stanley Cup, but he also led the Panthers with 15 goals in 23 games to take home the Conn Smythe in this year’s matchup. That big performance played a big part in him landing an eight-year, $64 million extension.
Unfortunately for the Oilers fan base, there’s nothing they can do but bite their tongue and hope that this coming year will finally be the one for Connor McDavid and company.
