Carolina Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour might still be in better shape than most NHL players.
The 55-year-old was not shy in showing off his absolutely ripped body after winning the Stanley Cup with the Hurricanes on Sunday night. Carolina knocked off the Vegas Golden Knights after a 3-0 Game 6 victory.
During the locker-room celebration, the veteran coach joined the players in a rowdy celebration with the Cup, which included going tarps off to show off his impressive physique.
It turns out there is a reason why people call Brind’Amour “Rod the Bod.”

The veteran coach broke the internet with his impressive build, with fans flooding onto social media reacting to Brind’Amour.
“When you have a coach who looks like that, you damn well better be in good shape,” said one fan on X.

“May all the bros be as jacked as Rod the bod at his age,” said another fan.
Looks like he could still skate 20min a night.

Brind’Amour now has two Stanley Cups to his name, the first coming in 2006 while captain of the Hurricanes. His celebration then was iconic, and he made sure to follow up this year’s Stanley Cup lift with another impressive move.
Instead of lifting the Stanley Cup right away, Brind’Amour opted to be a bit more daring with the prized trophy, throwing it up and catching it.

He also put Hurricanes players through one of the most sneaky-brilliant workout routines throughout the season. Brind’Amour had players lift a 35-pound brick at the end of their workouts and called it a “Blue Collar Press.”
It turns out that the brick weighed the same as the Stanley Cup, and he had the Hurricanes practice lifting the Cup without them even knowing it.
Rod sneakily built in a 35 pound cinderblock lift into the Canes offseason workouts, called it “Blue Collar Presses”, and the boys never thought anything of it…
Turns out he was having them practice lifting the Cup all season long 🤯🔥
