Popeyes' famous Spicy Chicken Sandwich is coming to Canada this year
Fried chicken lovers, gird your loins, because Popeyes famous Spicy Chicken Sandwich is coming to Canada before 2020 ends.
Details on the coveted sammy’s Canadian launch are mum, but a Popeyes spokesperson has confirmed to Daily Hive that the company plans to bring it to restaurants across the Great White North this year.
Specific dates have yet to be announced.
The sandwich — featuring a slab of juicy, spiced-up, Popeyes fried chicken, sauce, pickles, and a soft bun — went viral in 2019.
Only available in the US, the sandwich inspired social media posts-galore, angry patrons when the item was unavailable, and a swath of jealous Canadians who wished they could get their fix.
And, for now, we still can’t. But the end of the era of lack is nigh.
