A man was found murdered in a southwest Edmonton home Thursday afternoon, and homicide detectives are trying to figure out how he died.

Someone called police to the home near 24 Avenue and 108 Street around 4 pm with a weapons complaint.

When officers arrived, they found a man, a woman, and two children. Both adults had minor injuries, and the children were unharmed.

When officers entered the home, they found a fifth person with more severe injuries. That man was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police arrested the man with minor injuries, and the woman was taken to a local hospital.

The two children are being cared for by a family member for the time being, police said.
