Paul Brandt to headline the 2021 Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show

The 2020 Calgary Stampede may have been a flop (thanks a lot, COVID-19), but that hasn’t stopped organizers from putting plans in motion for next year’s show.

A release from the Calgary Stampede announced on Sunday that country music star Paul Brandt would be headlining the 2021 Bell Grandstand Show, performing all 10 nights of Stampede.

He, alongside the Young Canadians and a number of other artists and performers, will be closing out the festivities each and every night leading up to the climactic fireworks display.

“The Stampede holds a special place in my heart, having strong roots here. I was proud to headline the Grandstand Show during the Stampede’s Centennial year – a year of transition as we moved forward into a new century,” said Brandt in the release.

“I’m thrilled to headline for a second time as we transition from 2020 to 2021 with optimism and hope – after a year off, the Bell Grandstand Show will be bigger and better than ever.”

Brandt will not merely perform but will also be working alongside organizers to curate a show “that celebrates the spirit and vibrancy of the community,” the release states.

“The Bell Grandstand Show is part of who we are, it IS Stampede,” said Rod Tate, director of programming for the Calgary Stampede, in the release.

“Having Paul Brandt headline the show just feels natural. We’re welcoming a member of the Stampede family.”

Tickets to the 2021 Bell Grandstand Show will become available this fall, and will include admission to the Stampede grounds for the day.
