Typically, at least one or two locations in each of the city’s districts will be open, so be sure to call the locations nearest to you before heading out! Similarly, select Tim Hortons locations city-wide will be open on Christmas Day with varying hours of operation.
Convenience stores
Need a last, last-minute stocking stuffer or an extra stick of butter? Convenience stores, including 7-Eleven and Circle K, will be open on Christmas Day if you need to pick up something in a pinch.
T&T Supermarket
If you have a more extensive grocery list, T&T Supermarket locations across Edmonton will be open at varying hours on Christmas Day.
West Edmonton Mall
West Edmonton Mall and its various attractions, including Galaxyland and World Waterpark, will be open on Christmas Day from noon to 5 p.m.

Various A&W, McDonald’s, and other fast food restaurant locations will be open on Christmas Day in Edmonton. Call ahead before heading out to the one closest to you.

Landmark Cinemas will be open on Christmas Day, so be sure to check its website for more details on showtimes. On the other hand, Cineplex will have a select number of screenings on Thursday, Dec. 25. A list can be found on the Cineplex website.
