Connor McDavid is fresh off a two-year contract extension with the Edmonton Oilers earlier this month, and it appears he’s added a new endorsement deal as well.
The Oilers captain is well-known for his extensive catalogue of endorsement deals that range from partnerships with Canadian bank CIBC, sports drink brand BODYARMOR, as well as sports apparel brand Alo. Now, it appears that one of the most iconic international brands is picking up McDavid with Coca-Cola featuring the Oilers superstar in a new ad.
McDavid announced the endorsement on his Instagram page.
“Proud to joinĀ #TeamCocaCola for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. Cheers to doing big things, Team Canada!” McDavid captioned the post.

This doesn’t appear to be your usual type of endorsement, with the caption indicating that this is part of a promotion tied to the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. McDavid is a lock to be part of Team Canada’s hockey team for the Olympics, especially after he scored the championship-clinching goal at last year’s 4 Nations Face Off.
He isn’t alone in this campaign, as the popular soda brand has also recruited other athletes to take part. Those joining McDavid on Team Coca-Cola include American women’s hockey star Kendall Coyne SchofieldĀ and American figure skater Ilia Malinin.
It remains to be seen if Coca-Cola will target any other prominent NHL players alongside McDavid for the campaign.
The Oilers captain has had a bit of a slow start to the new season, at least to his standards, but has been heating up. McDavid currently has three goals and 14 points through 11 games with Edmonton.
As the Olympics near, you can bet he’ll be as motivated as ever when the puck drops for the tournament on Feb. 11.
