Canadian fast food chain opens new Edmonton location with $1 vegan soft-serve deal

A new location for vegan fast food is coming to town!
Odd Burger is opening their second location in Edmonton, this time taking over the south side.
This vegan fast-food restaurant was founded in 2014 as a grassroots vegan organization that delivered organic fruits and vegetables from local farmers directly to customers’ doorsteps. From there, they quickly created vegan meal kits in 2015, developed what is now known as their Famous Burger in 2016, and finally launched Canada’s first vegan fast-food restaurant in Ontario.
Today, Odd Burger currently operates over 20 locations, including their storefronts and mobile units.
The chain mainly focuses on serving food made from scratch using plant-based, minimally processed, and sustainable ingredients. This means they are, of course, a 100 per cent vegan company and restaurant.
Their menu includes vegan burgers like the previously mentioned Famous Burger, which is their vegan take on the McDonald’s Big Mac. On top of regular burgers with patties, the menu also offers their Pulled Jack, a vegan pulled pork sandwich made from marinated jackfruit.
They also serve chicken burgers, salads, and wraps, an assortment of sides like fries and onion rings, and a collection of sweet treats like their soft serve ice cream and milkshakes.

The doors open today, July 28, from noon to 6 p.m. for a soft opening of the new location!
In honour of the exciting new venture, they will be holding a big grand opening event at the new Edmonton Odd Burger location on Saturday, Aug. 2, from noon to 6 p.m.
This exciting celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony to kick things off at noon, $1 plant-based soft-serve ice cream available all day, and Odd Burger tote bags for the first 30 people in line.
Above all else, 25 per cent of all sales are being donated to Farm Animal Rescue and Rehoming Movement, an animal sanctuary near Wetaskiwin, which provides a safe haven for surrendered and abused farm animals and cats.
Odd Burger also informs guests that their hours will be limited over the next few weeks as they finalize the store’s setup and train new staff.
Don’t miss out on $1 ice cream, be early for the chance at a tote bag, and get ready for Odd Burger’s grand opening.
