Swanky new apartment with shops and a food hall being built in downtown Edmonton

A mixed-use building designed to house a microbrewery, food hall, retail market, wellness centre, office space, and four levels of residential units is in the works for downtown Edmonton, and it’s sure to bring plenty of vibrancy to the area.
Williams Hall, located at 10030 120A Ave. NW, is a redevelopment project of the former Downtown YMCA building, steps from the Ice District, Churchill Square, Edmonton City Centre Mall, and more. It will offer pedway and parkade access, making getting around on foot easy through all four seasons.
With all its amenities and fantastic location, there’s no doubt this will become a hotspot before games and concerts. It’s already hard to find a table near Rogers Place before an event, so imagine how busy a food hall could get!
Being so close to Rogers Place, there’s no doubt that this will become a hotspot before games and concerts. Getting into restaurants nearby before an event is already challenging, so imagine how busy a nearby food hall could get!
According to conceptual plans on the building’s brochure from Omada Commercial, a microbrewery would be well-suited for the building’s lowest level. The second-lowest level would house the food hall, with plans showing it could support up to six restaurant kiosks.

On the ground floor, plans are to house a retail market, with conceptual plans showing at least nine potential retail units. This level will provide street-level access to 102A Ave., serving as a hub for residents and visitors to connect and shop.

Level two has plans for “wellness centre opportunities.” Whether that be a spa, gym, or more, we’d love to be a resident of this building! This level will also have pedway access leading to spots like Edmonton City Centre Mall and Sutton Place Hotel.
On the third level, plans are to offer office spaces, which “cannot be beat with their tremendous accessibility to pedways, coveted location and exciting building amenities.”
Levels four to eight will offer 100 one and two-bedroom rental suites. Rent prices are still TBD, but with so many amenities and a spectacular location, we imagine a heftier price tag.
“Its coveted location merges the energy of downtown’s tremendous collection of restaurants, entertainment, and attractions. For those seeking a sophisticated, urban lifestyle, William’s Hall is for you.”
The building is currently under construction, with Alberta Major Projects estimating its finish time at 2026.
